Obituary for John S. Villella

Villella, John S., 84, passed from this world on June 30th, at home. John was an AF veteran and at the time of his death, was the owner of Finicky Used Furniture in Prescott Valley, AZ. John had many varied interests, reflected in his lifetime of entrepreneurship. In his youth, he wrote and sold fiction novelettes in addition to conducting a stamp collection business. As an adult he founded a stock market consulting business, wrote a Stock Market Advisory book, and owned several small auto dealerships in FL and printing companies in FL & CA. But his true love was owning & training racehorses, evidenced by the fact that he built a horse rehab center on his FL property. He was a member of SAG/AFTRA.
John had a great many friends in AZ, CA, FL, & OR, having maintained some friendships since grade school. His friends and family loved him and he them. He took care of them, worried about them, hoped for and celebrated their successes. HE WAS A GOOD FRIEND IN GOOD TIMES AND A GREAT FRIEND IN BAD TIMES.
John is survived by his loving wife, Mindy, 6 children, Lori (Eric) Wood, Jonna (Tony) Capps, Rosana (Randy) Schloatman, Steve ( Cindi) Villella, Toni (April) Villella, Brian Villella, his sister Mary (Jim) Crostini, 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, sister in law Sharon James, and his long-time manager of Finicky Furniture, Joanna, for whom he had great affection. All have funny and loving stories about him- he was a character and will be dearly missed by all. A Celebration of Life will be held in AZ, CA & FL.
